Ok, so you all know about the Planet Mikey Bracket Challenge that’s currently going on. We chose the 16 sexiest female broadcasters in town, and your voting will determine The Planet Mikey Sexiest Broadcaster.

The process was, I felt, pretty easy. Planet Mikey dedicated a full 5 hour Friday night show to selecting the top newswomen. From there, I based it on emails, texts and staff advice and selected the final 16. Now, I know that some people have had many discrepancies with the final 16, but if your favorite anchor or newswoman did not make the cut there’s always next year.

On the bubble were Victoria Warren, Cindy Fitzgibbon, Beth Shelburne, and Shiba Russell. It sucked leaving them out, but hey, their RPI wasn’t strong enough!!!

Fran- Good Idea on the brackets! But man, you left off one of my favorites, Heather Unruh! Although, I think Heidi Watney should win hands down. Look forward to seeing the results. Enjoy your show.

First off, Prince, great name. Secondly, this is a perfect sample email. You state a lot in a concise and quick email. Good Job!

Nate writes- Mikey, I was excited for the Bracket challenge but was very disappointed when I looked at the “Sweetest 16.” How can you not include Heather Unruh??? She’s a lock for the Final Four at the very least!

Jay from Sandwich- Hi Guys. In the spirit of a true Bracket Challenge where are all the Conferences(Channels)? I noticed there were no Newswomen from NECN. Is Mikey anti-NECN? I think people are missing out on Karen Swensen in the mornings. Maybe it’s just me, I don’t know but she looks real good to me at 6 in the morning.

OK Jay you got me. It’s not Mikey, but the NECN girls just didn’t get enough support. Trust me, Karen Swensen and Beth Shelburne were tough to cut.

McCall in West Roxbury- Hey Mikey, I listen everynite… just wanted to say nothing like voting on the hottest chicks on TV at 9:00am!

Thanks McCall! Also, thanks to Mr. Underwood Felger, who mentioned the bracket on D and C, we got a good amount of morning and afternoon votes on Wednesday! Unfortunately, the lovely Sara Underwood couldn’t advance in what I believe to be the toughest bracket so far. Read below for some Sara support!

Chris in Fitchburg- How the hell did you leave out Cindy Fitzgibbon, weatherbabe of Channel 25? She was wearing a leather mini-skirt this week, and you passed on her? What TV Milf does that?

And Sara Underwood not making it is a joke! Poor Sara having to pay for the sins of her husband.

Chris, I know how you feel.  It’s tough to see one of your favorites not on the list. I was upset when Shiba Russell wasn’t selected for the Sweetest 16!!! It was a tough and grueling process and some were left behind. Oh and ”a leather mini-skirt”? As hip and attractive as Cindy Fitzgibbon appears, I doubt it was a “mini-skirt”. That seems more MTV than Fox 25 Morning News!

Real quick a lot of people have been asking/emailing how and where to sponsor Mikey when he rides in the Pan-Mass Challenge this August.

I’ll try to set it up soon on Planet Mikey page, but for now…

Ben returns to the airwaves with a guest appearance on the Planet Mikey Show.

Big Ben will make his first return to radio airwaves since being let go from Fox Sports Radio. Maller will join Mikey, Jpod, and Ryder tonight at 8:15pm on Planet Mikey.

No doubt Manny Ramirez and the Super Bowl will enter the discussion. The last time Big Ben was on Planet Mikey was July 30th. Coincidentally enough, that was the day before Manny Ramirez was traded to the Dodgers. Ben is a huge supporter of ManRam and we all know Mikey’s thoughts on Manny so we should be in for a real entertaining argument.

Will Manny be wearing Dodger Blue in April?
