Remember the last time…

The Red Sox started a home ALCS game in the afternoon twilight?
That was also a Monday in October - October 18, 2004 - when the Red Sox and Yankees battled for 5 hours, 49 minutes in a game that ended at the stroke of 11 p.m. when David Ortiz singled home Johnny Damon with the winning run as the Red Sox won, 5-4, and were on their way to history.
A couple of quick notes… Dwight Evans will be throwing out the ceremonial first pitch today and the national anthem will be performed by Country recording star Richie McDonald, the former lead singer of “Lone Star”
More to come throughout the afternoon in advance of Game 3 between the Rays and Red Sox at Fenway Park. First pitch set for 4:37 p.m.
